Dave and Rob return after another month long hiatus, but this time they play catch up with each other. David has been in Florida, doing some firearm training with his brother Marcos, and then vacationing in the Florida Keys.

Robert on the other hand, has been busy finishing his documentary, The Closed Guard. The two spend most of the episode talking about the revelations Robert had filming it, and some of the surprises that changed the direction of the film as new information was brought to light.

Finally, the two talk about the pros and cons of technology in today's world.

Durinho was slated to fight UFC Champion Kamaru Usman on Fight Island, but unfortunately fell ill to COVID-19 and was replaced by Jorge Masvidal. Burns fills us in on how it felt getting sick and watching the fight from home.

He then shares a lot of his mental process – from preparing for a training camp, self talk, his motivation to fight, and much more. I believe this episode to be a great asset to any martial artist wishing to get a glimpse in the mind of one of the most exciting true mixed martial artists on the planet today.

Dave and Rob have a fun and informative chat with the creator of McDojoLife, featured on various media outlets, including the Joe Rogan Experience, Robert Ingraham to the podcast.

Robert didn't create the term McDojo, but he definitely refined it and has went on a campaign to identify schools that qualify to be labeled as such for the good of the people. He lists the 5 transgressions a martial arts academy can make to qualify for as a McDojo, and also the responsibility he has to make sure he doesn't target undeserving schools.

From no touch knock outs, pedophiles, fake black belts, or scam artists, Robert has seen them all, and shares stories of his encounters. He also goes into his upcoming documentary, and much more.

Just a fair warning, this episode has a good amount of cursing (not with any hostility), so if you got kids around, you might want to cover their ears. :)

They start off getting some history about Comprido and the formation of the Alliance team, followed by some funny childhood stories about him and Leo Veira, including the time they got in trouble with the police for a stolen fish.

As the first IBJJF Absolute champion to win by submission, especially with a foot lock, they talk about how the culture of cross training has changed dramatically over the years; from training in different disciplines to training in other academies.

They also get into the history of fixed matches in BJJ, how it was like coaching and training with Brock Lesnar, and what things Comprido would change in BJJ today.
